As Executive Director for the Kern County Board of Trade, Mr. Davis is responsible for Kern County's tourism marketing efforts and serves as the Kern County Film Commissioner.  Tourism and filming generate over a billion dollars a year in economic impact for Kern County.  Davis sits on several boards and commissions associated with local, as well as regional, tourism and economic development efforts.  The Board of Trade is widely known for its innovative and creative application of technology to increase the effectiveness of its mission.  Most recently Davis lead a global team to develop and deploy the first large-format outdoor interactive visitors kiosk of its kind.  The automated kiosk is designed to work in harsh outdoor climate conditions and is ruggedized to withstand vandalism.

Immediately before his appointment as Executive Director, Davis served as manager and chief engineer of KGOV television.  Prior to his tenure with Kern County, he spent twenty plus years in the entertainment industry working in the performing, technical and management sectors.

Mr. Davis is a graduate of Bakersfield College with a degree in Liberal Arts and California State University Bakersfield, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy and Administration.
